SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS – Mobile, Web, or Server Development
(Kuala Lumpur - Damansara Heights)

Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyse requirements, produce technical designs, create the application, conduct software testing, implement the software solution and support production issues.
  • Web Developers are responsible for the development of web-based applications (Java).
  • Mobile Developers are responsible for the development of Java/Symbian applications for mobile phones.
  • Server Developers are responsible for the development of the database and back-end solutions.
  • Troubleshoot product issues in development, test and production.
  • Proactively identify and escalate risks/issues and provide suggestions on how to resolve them.
  • Provide regular status updates to supervisors.
  • Seniors will mentor and develop junior staff

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or related discipline.
  • Design, development, testing and implementation working experience is desirable.
  • Proficiency with database, Linux and Windows O/S software development
  • Experience with mobile application development, client-server and web-based architecture, software performance benchmark and optimization and software security is desirable.
  • Experience in Eclipse development, Agile software development and object-oriented programming is preferred.
  • Excellent problem solving skills, with drive to measure and improve existing processes and procedures.
  • Self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Desire and ability to learn new skills and technology quickly.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with supervisors and other teams.
  • Creative, detail-oriented and a team player.
  • Appropriate software certification would be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).


  • Mobile (J2ME) team:
  • Strong skills in Java programming are desirable.
  • Ability to develop Java (J2ME, MIDP) applications for mobile phones.


  • Mobile (Symbian) team:
  • Strong skills in C++ programming are desirable.
  • Ability to develop C++ applications for Symbian-based mobile phones.
  • Following additional skills would be an advantage:

  • Server Development team:
  • Strong skills in Java programming and SQL are desirable.

Responsibilities :

The successful candidate will assist the Manager of Compensation and Benefits (C&B) in developing and administering C&B strategies, projects and proposals for Taylor’s Education Group. He/She will be responsible to plan, execute and administer the activities and programmes related to compensation and benefits for all staff in group.

Job responsibilities would include the following but not limited to :

  • Assist in the review, evaluation and improvise the Group's HR operational policies and procedures, processes and practices
  • Administer activities and programmes related to compensation, performance management and evaluation, benefits and claims, including policies and procedures applicable to these programmes
  • Manage employee benefit programmes including medical, dental, insurance etc.
  • Conduct job analysis and evaluation to determine appropriate grade and salary level according to compensation policy and guideline
  • Develop job descriptions, prepare compensation reports, human resource policies and procedures
  • Conduct surveys and studies; perform research and analysis; prepare recommendations/reports on a variety of issues related to compensation and benefits surveys and legislative updates affecting the department
  • Keep abreast of trends and development on applicable legislation and regulations to ascertain if it will affect compensation programmes
  • Participate in special projects to support the achievement of goals for the department, as and when required

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration or related field
  • Minimum 6-7 years related experience in human resources with at least 3 years experience in the design or administration of C&B programmes
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of job evaluation and analysis
  • Knowledge of methods and techniques related to compensation & benefits analysis
  • Sound knowledge of laws and regulations related to human resource administration
  • Ability to communicate effectively to gather information and explain policies and procedures
  • Ability to write well and prepare clear, concise and complete proposals and reports
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a team
  • Ability to carry out multiple assignments with close attention to details and deadlines
  • Positive work attitude, results and action-oriented
  • Pleasant personality and able to interact with people at all levels
